Rintama Roleplay Rules

The list below will act as a guide for newer players or people not from our community to help understand and properly roleplay within Rintama.Keep in mind all these rules are set and expected from you to be followed as well as the rules above.

WEAPONS
If you wish to pick up a RP weapon you must use a help command first to confirm it. Any weapon actions are otherwise voided and will result in a punishment. Generally, you are expected to use the combat and only weapons that have tools for them.
WEARING MASKS
This goes for masks that cover the face and hide your identity.
You need staff permission you got in a ticket before the SSU to wear one.
SKATEBOARD WHEN ESCAPING
If you are in any roleplay scenario like a conversation, combat scene, police investigation or running for someone then using the skateboard is not permissible. Should another player report you or someone from the staff team (police force/any non rintama faction) then expect heavy punishments.
GETTING BACK UP AFTER FIGHTING
Once you are downed you cannot go back into the fight and need to stay out or lay down. Generally, you should only fight roughly 10-20 minutes after the fight as it would be unrealistic to go straight back into action. Only staff can allow you to fight again after being downed.
OPENING DOORS
Doors that lead into private property are not to be opened by anyone other than the owner.
Pretty self-explaining, where did you get the key for his basement for? Should police catch you prepare for jail time and a heavy fine.
COMBAT ROLEPLAY [CRP)
Roleplay combat is not allowed. Use the combat system in the game. Only small actions such as, grabbing someone's collar and dragging a body should be used.
META GAMING
Gaining information outside of RP such as discord or getting doing actions that can be very easily done in roleplay is strictly forbidden. If you can do it ingame do not think about doing it outside of it. Should staff take notice you may lose access for it.

PUNISHMENTS
All the rules mentioned above generally result in warnings. Should you manage to reach 3 warnings you lose access and only a Major Patreon Revive can make up for that.
Some rules and situations may be counted higher than others and can get you removed very quick.Unspoken rules like poor roleplay and poor reasoning for certain situations will speed up the progress of losing access.Staff has the final say in everything for each situation and rule mentioned above.

Everything below this point is optional!

Roleplay Terms

Roleplay has its slang; here's some of the most common kind:

RP/Role Play:
the act of creating a story with at least one other person in the game.
RPer/Role Player;
a person who Role Plays.
OOC/Out Of Character
a post made just discussing the RP when not in character
CS/Character Sheet:
The specific details about the character you have created are written out.
GM/Game Master;
This is the person who hosts the RP and controls everything that happens.
OC/Original Character;
this is a character that can be played for a fan-based RP or any RP. This is a character you create from scratch and isn't just playing a character already created from a TV show, movie, or game.
1x1/1on1;
This section is for RPs that are usually just between two people, sometimes three. They are usually more in depth.
NPC/Non-Player Character;
this is a character in RP that usually has no CS and can be controlled by one person or many. They are not main characters in the RP but are there as supporting characters, minor additions to help drive the storyline forward, or to give details about a PC.
Metagame;
The act of taking information from an area of the RP your character has not been privy to. Such as knowing a character has had a bad life just because you read it in their CS, but the character had not told you in IC.
Void;A void is the act of undoing/ignoring a previous action you've done. It's usually abbreviated as simply "v". "V all that" is used to do the same for a set of actions. It is recommended to say "void me [doing a certain action] if you want to specify what you want to undo. Voiding isn't exclusive to your actions: you can void another player and/or their actions if you feel they're being unjust.

Location Information

Hokuheki (ホクヘキ) is a Westernized city located in the Rikugawa Prefecture (リクガワケン), a fictional region nestled within the sprawling Kobetsu Region (コベツチホウ) of Japan. Despite being one of the least funded areas in Japan, the Kobetsu Region bursts with an unusual mix of traditional culture and Western influence, for better or for worse.Hokuheki City is divided into 5 districts that were formed in the early 1990s by the now-absent Government of Kobetsu. The districts are as follows: Rintama High, Shofukucho District, Nakamichi District, Horiguchi Area, and Tenkaichi District.

1.) Rintama High School
Placed right in the heart of Hokuheki, a school that was established in 1973, and refurbished in late 2001 after the fall of the school between 1983 and 1991, and potentially after. The campus includes a four story main building with an additional three story sub-building, a gymnasium building, a large baseball field located on the back of the premises, two pools with separate changing rooms, and a gardening area with necessary storage rooms to store tools.
2.) Shofukucho District
Though not the largest, the south-western Shofukucho District stands out as a vibrant spot for both tourists and local teens. The district’s highlight is the Little Poland section, home to charming Polish coffee shops and restaurants that offer a unique western showcase. Alongside these, the area features a mix of Japanese clothing boutiques, casual eateries, and leisure spots, creating a lively atmosphere that draws in the youth. Despite its modest size, the Shofukucho District remains one of the most popular areas in all of Hokuheki.
3.) Nakamichi District
Nakamichi, situated south-midland of town, was once a vibrant area filled with apartments and homes owned by enthusiastic students from across Japan and cheerful couples eager to settle down. However, as years passed and Japan’s recession impacted Hokuheki, the neighborhood gradually lost its vitality and welcoming charm. Although it might seem like a safe yet bland place to live, this isn’t entirely accurate, as several crimes have been reported in the vicinity. The Nakamichi District is entirely residential, with the only nearby businesses being small corner stores.
4.) Horiguchi Area
West of town lies the Horiguchi Area, a small but notable section of Hokuheki that isn’t exactly large enough to be classified as its own district. Best known for housing the local Graveyard and the bicycle path frequently used by students on their way to school, the area also features an indoor parking garage that offers free vehicle parking. While generally quiet during the day, the Horiguchi Area has a reputation for being somewhat dangerous at night, with mentions of muggings and shakedowns. Be cautious not to leave your car unattended for too long!
5.) Minami Ward
The southern Minami Ward is often considered as the “Heartbeat of Hokuheki”, pulsing with energy from its vibrant clubs, karaoke bars, and drinking lounges. It offers entertainment for people from all walks of life, drawing crowds of all ages eager to immerse themselves in the nightlife. However, with this bustling and chaotic social scene comes heightened attention from local law enforcement. Minami Ward is known for being home to the highest number of arrests in the entire city.
6.) Tenkaichi District
Located north of Hokuheki lies the Tenkaichi District, home to the sprawling Tenkaichi Forest. The area contains its fair share of wildlife, including black bears, deer, and hares, which are a common sight. Additionally, tales of evil spirits and ghosts haunting its depths are frequently told by parents to deter children away from the area, though it is unsure if these tales are true or not. The deeper sections, where old shrines and offering boxes remain, exude a chilling sense of danger.
